How this works

  • We read the page source. We fetch the page you enter and look for an <a href> pointing at the other domain. Same thing a search engine crawler does, no AI involved.
  • We check up to 3 pages. If the link isn't on the page you gave us, we also try likely footer pages such as /about or /launches.
  • We tell you dofollow vs nofollow. A link with rel="nofollow", ugc, or sponsored passes no SEO value. Plenty of directories ship these quietly. More on backlinks.
  • JavaScript-rendered sites are a known limit. If your site builds its content in the browser, the link may not be in the source we can read. That is worth knowing on its own, because crawlers often hit the same wall.
