The free Badge plan needs a link back to tool-list.dev on the page you submit (the badge snippet points at your listing), and it's checked once before your listing goes live with a dofollow link. The check reads the raw HTML, so a badge injected by JavaScript won't be found. No badge yet? You can publish straight away with a nofollow link instead. No account needed, and one domain can only be listed once. Brand new in September 2026 and the list is still empty, so authority and audience are close to zero for now.
