This guide walks you through your first LaunchPanda session, from sign-up to your first directory submission. Plan on 15 minutes.

Before you start

  • A Google account (sign-in is Google OAuth only)
  • Your product's basic info: name, tagline, short description, website URL, logo
  • Optionally, your X handle and product category

Step 1, sign in

  1. Go to launchpanda.dev.
  2. Click Sign in in the top right.
  3. Authorize with your Google account. We only receive your name, email, and profile picture.

Step 2, create your first Launch Kit

  1. You'll be taken to /kit.
  2. Fill in your product's info. Tagline and short description carry the most weight, they're what directories will display.
  3. Upload a logo if you have one. If not, the kit will use a letter avatar until you add one.
  4. Save the kit. Behind the scenes, this becomes a Launch Kit tied to your account.

Step 3, browse the directory roadmap

  1. Go to /browse.
  2. You'll see directories grouped into stages (Just Started, Essentials, Growing, and so on). See directory strategies for what each stage means.
  3. Free accounts can submit to the Just Started stage. Upgrading to Pro unlocks every stage and the full 240+ directory database.

Step 4, submit your first directory

  1. Click any directory card. The drawer that opens shows the submission link, the description and tagline LaunchPanda has pre-filled for you, and any badge requirement.
  2. Click Copy on the fields, then paste them into the directory's own submission form. We don't submit on your behalf unless you've purchased Auto Launch.
  3. Back in LaunchPanda, mark the directory as Submitted or Done to track your progress.

Verify it worked

After a directory approves your listing (usually 1 to 3 days for the fast ones), you should see your link live on their site. Backlinks typically take a few extra days to show up in Ahrefs or other SEO tools.
